In construction, waterproofing isn’t just another step—it’s the foundation of a long-lasting and durable structure. When waterproofing fails, the effects are visible and costly, often resulting in peeling paint, compromised plaster, and unsightly seepage. These issues not only detract from a project’s aesthetics but can also jeopardize its structural integrity. That’s why, at Sky Infraa, we consider proper waterproofing a non-negotiable standard.

In our latest White House project, we identified areas where we could further enhance waterproofing to achieve a higher standard of longevity. Here’s how we’ve refined our approach to tackle these challenges effectively and proactively:

Implementing a Complete Spacer System with Epoxy

To prevent water seepage through bathroom walls—a common weak point in many buildings—we installed a complete spacer system for wall and floor tiling, along with epoxy flooring. This system provides a stronger seal that protects against moisture infiltration. Epoxy, known for its high resistance to water, acts as an additional barrier, ensuring that the tile joints remain watertight and resist wear over time.

Redesigning the Plumbing System to Prevent Water Retention

We didn’t stop at the tiling; we also rethought the plumbing design to avoid holding used water in the sunken slab. In traditional setups, retained water in sunken areas can lead to mold growth, unpleasant odors, and even structural damage. By modifying the plumbing system to ensure that used water flows freely and does not accumulate, we’re reducing these risks significantly.

Building with a Long-Term Vision

Our approach to construction prioritizes longevity and quality, aiming to prevent common issues from the start. The refined methods applied in the White House project reflect our commitment to delivering structures that not only look beautiful but also stand the test of time. As we continue to learn and innovate, we bring forward solutions that enhance the quality and durability of our projects, ensuring a better experience for everyone who lives and works in them.
